Who is Jolene (Joey) Whyte?
I'm Jolene Whyte. Most people call me Joey. I'm an Enrolled Nurse and an NDIS Disability Support Worker, based in The Gap and caring for people across north and north-west Brisbane.
I have over eight years' experience caring for people. I like long-term relationships: I worked with one person for nearly four years, and with another for over three.
I'm friendly, caring and reliable, and I'm always on time. Outside work I love animals, music, walking and sunshine, and hanging out with my Pug 🙂
What care and support can you help with at home?
I help people stay safe, comfortable and independent in their own home for as long as possible. Tap any of these to read more:
- Nursing at homeWound care, giving medicines, health checks, and keeping an eye on diabetes and long-term conditions.
- Personal care and disability supportShowering and washing, help moving about (including with a hoist), preventing pressure sores, gentle exercises, mealtimes, and getting out and about.
- Aged care, dementia and end-of-life careSupport to keep living at home as you get older, and caring support near the end of life.
- High-intensity NDIS supportSpinal injury care, bowel and catheter care, PEG (tube) feeding, seizure care and brain injury support.
I also offer mental health support for anxiety, depression and other worries.
Are you a qualified nurse?
Yes. I'm an Enrolled Nurse. That means I'm a qualified nurse who has trained at TAFE and is registered to work as a nurse in Australia.

Can I trust you in my home?
It's a fair question, and you should ask it of anyone. These are my official checks and registrations:
- National Police CheckIssued July 2025.
- NDIS Worker Screening ClearanceA government check for people who work with people with disability. (NDIS means the National Disability Insurance Scheme.) Valid to June 2031.
- Blue CardThe Queensland Working with Children Check. Valid to June 2031.
- Ahpra registrationAhpra is the national body that registers nurses and other health workers. My number is NMW0002640996, valid to May 2027. You can look me up on the Ahpra website.

Yes. I care for people in their own home and out in the community. I drive and have my own car, so I come to you.

I'm an Ahpra-registered Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with over eight years of high-intensity 1:1 disability support, including long-term care for participants with acquired brain injury, quadriplegia and paraplegia. Clinical skills include bowel care and digital rectal stimulation, PEG feeding and enteral medication, catheter care (IDC, SPC, in-out), wound care and aseptic technique, medication administration (oral, enteral, transdermal, nebuliser), seizure management, neuro and neurovascular observations, and care planning and documentation. I have also supported participants with complex PTSD, dissociative identity disorder, substance use, anxiety and depression, and I'm trained in positive behaviour support.
